A Refreshing Mother's Day Campaign from Diet Pepsi
This Mother’s Day weekend, Diet Pepsi will be surprising and refreshing their biggest fans – moms! While you’re out and about, make sure mom has a Diet Pepsi in hand because this Mother’s Day weekend, street teams will be stationed in 15 cities nationwide, scouting out moms and rewarding them with refreshing treats – like spafinder.com gift cards and custom totes filled with goodies, coupons and more.
This is an interesting concept and I'm totally willing to give it a try. If you're interested, keep an eye on the Diet Pepsi Facebook and Twitter pages throughout the weekend for updates and visit http://on.fb.me/IRXRBk to see if they’ll be hitting a city near you!
Moms, what do you think of this campaign? Would you be willing to take part?

Yo Gabba Gabba Bedding and DVD Giveaway!
Bedtime is quite the event in our house. It's almost always a fight, but once our three year old is comfy in his pajamas and under his sheets with a book, we're good to go.
That's why I'm loving the new Yo Gabba Gabba bedding from Walmart. It's making our bedtime routine that much more easy (and fun), because he can't wait to cuddle up with Foofa, Muno, Tootee, and Brobee. The sheets are totally soft and super colorful. They are also super washable, but only I care about that part.
Want your own copy of the DVD and a Yo Gabba Gabba toddler blanket for yourself? All you have to do is tell us about you child's bedtime ritual in the comments section below. The contest closes at 11: 59 PM, May 10, 2012.

A Portrait of a Young Artist
![]() |
| This is a picture of Andy, Joe's dad. Notice the mustache, large eyes and big smile. Pretty accurate. |
The most memorable day as a mom for me thus far, was the moment when I was able to open up a fresh box of crayons with Joe and see which color crayon he favored and what his first scribbles would look like. I have no idea why this was such a big deal to me, but it was because I cried. Flash forward to today and I'm swimming in doodles. Some are keepers. Some are not. Does it make me a jerk because I don't save everything?
I heard on the news that an original Andy Warhol was found at a garage sale. It was done when he was 9 years old and it's worth well over a million dollars. If Joe is the next Andy Warhol, then I'm screwed.
Moms, how do you determine what to keep and what to trash?

Kid Shows That Make Me Want to PUNCH Someone
I've started outlawing certain shows in my house. I've done this purely for my own sanity. Some shows just grate on my nerves so bad, that no 20 minutes of peace while my child watches it is worth it. These shows include: Fresh Beat Band, Max and Ruby, and Dora. And, don't even get me started on Oobi. He's a HAND with eyes glued on him and he talks in baby talk. How can that show help a child, other than with fodder for his nightmares (and mine too). Oh my goodness. I was one fresh beat away from flipping out this morning. Oobi-rific.
What cartoons bug you the most?!

I'm Totally Gonna Win the Lottery
Wow. This Friday's jackpot is near a billion dollars. Think about what you could do with that kind of money. I'd share the wealth for sure - pay off my student loans and debt, help my family with their mortgages, give some to charity, pay for my child's college education, and more. After I drop off my son at preschool today, I'm headed to the local 7-11 to get a few quick picks since I don't have any special numbers of my own. Either way it's a one in a billion chance of winning, but I'm feeling lucky!
Which leads me to the question, what would you do for your family with a billion dollars?
UPDATE: I won $10. So, lunch is on me ;)

Lone Ranger Movie - First Look at Johnny Depp and Armie Hammer!
I know, I know. I've been posting about a lot of movies lately, but seriously this is another one I'm pretty excited about. Love what I'm seeing... check out the pic.
From producer Jerry Bruckheimer and director Gore Verbinski comes Disney/Bruckheimer Films' THE LONE RANGER.
Tonto (Johnny Depp), a spirit warrior on a personal quest, joins forces
in a fight for justice with John Reid (Armie Hammer), a lawman who has
become a masked avenger.

CleanWell with Thyme Oil and Other Natural Ingredients
I recently had the chance to sample some antibacterial products from CleanWell, a new company that makes products with a patented formula of natural thyme oil that kills germs yet contains no harsh chemicals.
As a mother of a toddler with very sensitive skin, this is great news. I have always avoided using harsh chemicals in my cleaning products and when using hand sanitizers, I always disliked how harsh and drying the alcohol in the products could be. CleanWell does the job, but with less chemicals and harsh additives.
And best of all, they are affordable - disinfectant wipes, hand sanitizers, soaps and more are available in stores and on their site www.cleanwelltoday.com.
Loving the nice smell of the products thanks to the natural thyme oil. But, as the packaging says, don't let the nice smell fool you. This stuff gets rid of the germs! And, that's one thing I'm glad to get rid of in this house.
