All Whole Foods Market locations will offer a limited edition “Hello, Beauty!” bag for
$18 (valued at $60), now until March 24.
It's Beauty Week at Whole Foods Markets, and they challenged me to swap out some of my favorite make up items for natural, chemical free, organic versions. Being a self proclaimed make up junkie, I couldn't pass up the offer, and was very curious to see if these all natural make ups could stand up to my favorite brands.
Here's what I swapped:
Every One Face Wash
The Good: EVERYONE FACE is cruelty free, gluten free, paraben free, polysorbate free, disodium EDTA free, sodium laureth/lauryl sulfate free, and non-GMO verification pending.
Results: Not only did I love the way that this product cleansed my face, but I loved the way it smelled - totally fresh and lemony. It was strong enough to take off my make up at the end of the day, but didn't dry out my skin. Essential oils moisturize and real fruit enzymes exfoliate.
Gabriel Mascara (black)
The Good: All Gabriel products are gluten free, vegan friendly, and free from all of those harmful chemicals that you don't want anywhere near your face. The mascaras have vitamin B-5 to lengthen and thicken lashes. That's a big plus.
Results: I was skeptical about using an all natural mascara because I have used the same brand for so long. I like having lashes that look full and long. Gabriel mascara provided this and also allowed for me to build the make up. One coat was great for the day, and two coats was perfect for evening.
Gabriel Matte Lipstick in Nude
The Good: Gabriel lipsticks come in 25 different shades, but this is the one that I gravitated towards -- a soft nude shade that could be worn alone or with lip gloss for added shine. Their lip products are held to the same standards as the rest of their make up (gluten free, non GMO, vegan, etc.)
Results: The lipstick held up all day, which was a big plus for this busy mom.
Beauty Week is happening now through March 24, 2015. Not sure what to get? Whole Foods Market has beauty specialists on hand to help you find products that are right for your skin. I mean, where else can you and pick up almond milk, bread, and make up all in one place? It's a win, win!
Disclaimer: I was given a Whole Foods gift card to purchase the make up, but the ideas and opinions about each are my own.
